Previous Remodeling Projects

The project portfolio shown below is just a sampling of previous remodeling projects we have completed. Our actual experience includes large, small, complex, and simple bath, kitchen, renovation, addition, and space conversion projects.

Addition and Kitchen Remodel - Fredericksburg, Virginia

Our customers wanted to enlarge their kitchen and install new, state-of-the-art appliances for the chef in the family. They also wanted to create a new master suite on the rear of the house and wanted to take advantage of the potential views as their home sits on a bluff 150 feet above the Rappahannock River.

After discussions about various options, we embarked on completing a plan that included a sunroom and new, enlarged kitchen on the lower level and a new master suite on the second level. Above the second level rooms we created a wonderful covered porch and sundeck area to complete the new addition.

Kitchen Remodel - Midlothian, Virginia

Our customers wanted to remodel and update their kitchen but wanted to keep their current appliances and most of their cabinetry. They also wanted an island, a large wall, powered and cabled, to mount a nice size flat screen television, and a roomy home computer work space.

After we agreed on a new layout, we fabricated a few new cabinets to match their current cabinetry, removed and moved existing cabinets, eliminated the pantry closet, painted all the cabinets to match, added new solid-surface tops with integral sink bowls, replaced track lighting with recessed lights and drop pendent lights, installed new oak wood flooring, and painted the room using a totally new color palette.

The results represent a totally new look and layout along with important new touches that kept the project within the customers' budget and time constraints. The remodel was a total transformation and offered a new, updated, and modern decor.

Kitchen Remodel - Midlothian, Virginia

The kitchen at this fifteen year old home was not in poor shape but the builder installed cabinets were starting to show wear and the work triangle was not conducive to a multi-cook event. The area also was not as entertainment-friendly and the current island was not where our customers wanted their guests milling around.

After several options for new layouts were presented, our customers agreed on one that eliminated the desk area and the walk-in pantry, leaving new space for a way-cool bar and a wall of floor-to-ceiling cabinets.

To create a more intimate space, we also dropped the vaulted ceiling over the eliminated breakfast table area as it was now part of the combined work-at and eat-at island space. New recessed lighting, new hanging fixtures over the island, under-counter lighting, and display cabinet lighting all added its own contribution to the drama and functionality of this great new space. Rounding out the new space was a glass tile backsplash, a new, bold color palate, and new cork flooring.

The kitchen now provides our customer with a totally new and contemporary look, a super venue for entertaining, and exceptional functionality for their family of chefs. e encourage our clients to follow, with us, a field-tested series of steps that help streamline the design and construction of most any remodeling project.
